Carla was an active litigator when she was appointed as a mediator by a federal judge who liked the presentation of her case in his court.  This was in 1999 and Carla discovered her true calling.  

Carla LOVES resolving disputes rather than fighting them.  However her 25 years of litigation on both sides of the docket gives her a unique take on what the parties want for their clients with a mediator.  

Carla learned from her experience with mediators when she presented clients that the utmost importance was Respect.  Anyone that goes to mediation deserves respect and to know that they will be heard.  

Carla brings her extensive knowledge of employment law to the mediation but equally important is her ability to handle emotions. People who sue and people who are sued are upset and with being upset comes emotions.  Carla has the soothing ability to allow people their emotions but in the process gently guides them past the emotions to a business-like solution.   Carla has the ability to figure out people’s emotional needs as well as their strong or weak points in their case.  Carla can tell people what they may not want to hear but she does it in a way that is honest and as a result is accepted appreciatively.  

This ability gives Carla a proven track record of getting cases solved.  Because, at the end of the day, that is the goal.  Get cases settled so the parties can let go of their grievances and move on with their life.  Carla gets an extreme amount of personal satisfaction when she gets this accomplished.  Carla Loves Mediating.
